This day in investment history

This is not a sourced piece - just one near and dear to my heart. I remember this day well -- 9 years ago.

March 10, 2000. Anyone remember what this day was? The peak of the Nasdaq in the tech times. I had just started a trial in Edna Texas and was away from any analysis of the market and the like during those three weeks. The Nasdaq number was over 5000, around 5200. By the time the trial was done, the market had made its first slide on the way to the 70-80% free-fall that happened over the next 2-3 years.

I choose to believe this is an omen. The opening this morning was at the low of the current bear market.
