I need some help here!

I'd like to know what the plan is for us retired seniors, who no longer pay taxes, to get a "little" stimulus in our pockets?? First I heard that perhaps we'd get an extra Soc. Sec. check. then I heard that those who don't pay income tax any more would get a check from IRS for $250.00. Which is it, and when will it happen??? I know that my kids will be getting an additional deduction when they file next year, but what about us poor seniors. I'm disabled, so no longer work. I could sure use a little extra money towards getting my leaky roof fixed!!! I would also appreciate the website address that we can send letters directly to Pres. Obama, if anyone knows. Thanks for any info you can give me.

For seniors, the most direct form of help comes in a one-time payment of $250 for nearly 55 million people who get Supplemental Security Income or Social Security. Eligible recipients don't need to sign up for the payments, which are expected to be received by late May.
