His first question was accusatory and then he followed up with that one. Obama was not amused.

The job of EVERYONE at CNN is to MAKE MONEY FOR STOCKHOLDERS. News be damned.

The reason CNN is a shadow of its former self is that Time Warner now runs it, and they have no interest in anything but their bottom line. But it probably pays well, and in this economy, any job is a good one.

Let's face it, who watches presidential press conferences but political junkies? They don't get ratings or sell ad time. So why not try to stir the pot? Get more viewers? Get more ad revenue? Get more money for fat cats? Keep America from yawning & popping in a DVD or watching hockey (like we did at my house?)

In no way does this excuse what Ed Henry did, but it could be a possible reason. As always, follow the money!

(CNN) — President Obama gave a pretty tough answer to CNN's Ed Henry when asked why he waited days to express outrage on the AIG bonuses.

"It took us a couple of days because I like to think about what I'm talking about before I speak," he said.

It seemed to imply the question was impertinent.

It was a follow up question; after Obama already answered the first one. His tone was accusatory and it was, well, DUMB.

tired of Ed Henry asking dumb ass questions. He took care of that problem and moved on.

Henry (was going to say "this reporter" because I don't think that's what matters) was a perfect example of the brilliance and credibility of our president - something I have never been able to confirm or believe in my lifetime.

Regardless of whether he fully succeeds or halfway succeeds, Obama has already made his entry in every future history book - and not only - or even primarily - because of his African American heritage (though he's made history with that as well). He's earned a place of honor in our history (in my view) for something we haven't fully realized yet, and that is the extent, speed and soundness of the multiple, critical issues facing this country (and all of us) within - what - a couple of months?

I don't understand how anyone, from any party, could refute or discredit this president and what his answers are on any and every topic. I really don't.

This president is astounding. Whether he can fix all our problems or not - I don't know. I hope he can. I can't imagine anyone better to deal with our massive and multiple crises and no matter what... this president - is - astounding.

I am so glad that this is my childrens' president.

Oh, well. Flame away. To me, it was a very clever way of avoiding the question. Obama looked vaguely uncomfortable when Henry brought up AIG & at first ducked that part of the question. Then, when Henry repeated it, Obama responded w/a dismissive jab that successfully shut Henry up. Yet he still hadn't addressed the substance of the question. If anything, though, it shows that Obama has what it takes to handle the press - including ducks, weaves, & jabs when necessary. Bush never had the communication skills to do that.
