Talking about the Press Conference
held last night with some wingers. They are swearing up and down Obama used a teleprompter for his opening statement, and then was being fed the answers to the questions via blackberries.

I don't get the hub-bub about the teleprompter, why not use the most modern technology to the best advantage? (Bush used a TelePrompTer as well, too bad he couldn't read it correctly)But this nonsense about getting answers to reporter's questions via blackberry is ridiculous. Did they watch the same press conference?

Prez Obama is actually saying.

I can't talk to dittoheads anymore about our President..they're not worth it. If they didn't have the corporatemedia in their pockets then they'd have 0.

The Media feeds into this. The GOP feeds into this. It seems to me, both are feeding into the division to keep us fighting each other. We need to come together to solve these problems, and they are still playing party games.

What if this happened during the aftermath of 911? The Democrats played Party games? Don't people realize this is just as serious?

Some of the President's cabinet members lining the wall of the room, what they believe...They (the members )were texting answers to a teleprompter at the back of the room. I am sure if this were true, Fox would have been on it like flies on shit.

Is this not what advisors are for?

Bush couldn't take a dump without waiting for written instructions from Uncle Dick on how to wipe himself, but Obama's using a teleprompter or getting answers from cabinet officials is news.

Please. It's all fake outrage that, as was said, is an attempt to distract in any way possible from what was being said because they have *no response* to what was being said.

crack me up. It's customary for the staff to be there.

Tell them to go watch any episode of "The West Wing" when Pres Bartlett had a presser - his staff was ALWAYS standing on the side. And they weren't texting him, either. :rofl:

Mostly because he was visible on camera with his arms folded.

At least when we claimed Bush was wired we had some evidence.

If it were Rahm the message on the teleprompter to the "why did it take days for you to come out about the aig bonuses" would have been "sit down, shut the hell up and don't ask any more stupid damn questions".

and to the 21st century president who uses all tools available. Of course, that goes without saying that the teleprompter has been used by politicians since 1960.

to text to a teleprompter. Two totally different types of systems. The BB would have to be wired to the thing. Basic networking. DUH!
