When he was on his own, not reading from a script, Reagan couldn't formulate a coherent sentence to save his life.

Watch that and then compare it to Obama, even when Obama is off the teleprompter.

Reagan doesn't have a damn clue what he's talking about. He mumbles, goes off on some weird military tangent and gets schooled by Mondale.

Unfortunately, he was a snake oil salesman and that's where he benefited.
