If millions of vacuous people are gonna lap up every word from Fox (and the so-called 'liberal' MSNBC) and these idiots -- I am being generous here -- still believe George W. Bush was the best president ever and are already gearing up to defend the vacuous-but-dangerous Sarah Palin in 2012, then by God I'm gonna say that Obama is the fuckin' Messiah. Even on a liberal board such as this, because there are other eyes watching and I refuse to give them the satisfaction of reading that I have any second thoughts about him.

He's our man, and he's already the greatest president ever and he's just gonna get better. Fuck anyone who says any differently. We're at war here. Any private, less-than-positive thoughts I have about the Obama Administration will remain private from this point on, at least on Democratic Underground.

Hey, I'm as big of an Obama fan as you're going to find, but that was a bit much even for my tastes.

Every, and I mean EVERY, president's feet should be held to the fire. Obama is no exception, he is a public servant and we are his employers. You think that he's infallible? Fine, but he ain't the Pope. It's healthy in a democracy to question our leaders.

No one should be above being questioned. Obama is the president and as such he serves us, not the other way around.

A democracy holds its leaders accountable, regardless of party affiliation. The Rethugs blindly followed Shrub because he was their leader. We are better than that, and anyone who has a "D" after his or her name should know that and expect to be questioned, scrutinized, and held accountable for his/her actions.

Sometimes people frighten me. I see some here who never question anything as long as it comes from the president. I have yet to agree 100% with any politician and I intend to question their actions. After all, we are the ones who put them in positions of power and we are the ones who can remove them from those same positions.

Our democracy has been turned upside down by many years of misuse by corporations. We do not work for the government it needs to work for us is the way things should be. President Obama is doing a commendable job compared with the trash we have had for the last 48 years of my life.

The country still needs more.

I notice the second post says something about President Obama has already outdone FDR & Lincoln both, in less than 70 days. WTF are u smoking?!? Read some history about the Civil War, the Depression, and WWII. Presidencies are judged in their totality, and so far Obama's hardly been tested in the ways those men were. Lincoln's Gettysburg address was given in the wake of a single battle that killed almost twice as many Americans as the total US military deaths so far in Iraq. FDR commanded us through WWII, where over 400,000 American servicemen died. (nearly 100 times more than total US military dead in Iraq so far) These were real tests for a President to endure. I only pray President Obama never needs to prove himself up to that task.

When you're targeting a radio host as the poster child of your opposition, you're administration definitely has its hands on the wheel. Obama's been getting more flack and interference out of Congressional democrats than he's getting from Republicans right now. Just sayin', it's a bit early to be judging this administration one way or the other. We've got a long way to go before the dice stop rolling.
