President Obama On ‘Face The Nation’ Sunday
Edited on Thu Mar-26-09 06:24 PM by RamboLiberal
CBS News’ Bob Schieffer will interview President Obama on ‘Face the Nation’ This Sunday.

After a whirlwind month of selling his stimulus and budget plans and his announcement on Afghanistan Friday, the president leaves for a week in Europe for the G-20 Summit and NATO Summit on Tuesday.

“We’re fortunate that the president has agreed to do an interview this Sunday,” Bob Schieffer told CBSNews.com before giving some hints on his questioning.

“The economic crisis continues to dominate the news, but there are so many other issues which are getting less attention,” he explained, noting Afghanistan and Iraq. “We’ll ask the president to weigh in on those issues he has not discussed as much in addition to the economy.”

Schieffer has interviewed every sitting president since Nixon and serves as the moderator of ‘Face The Nation’ and CBS’ Chief Washington Correspondent. Check your local listings to find out when and where “Face the Nation” airs in your area Sunday morning.

And ABC, NBC, CNN, Faux will diss him for being "overexposed".

5. Here's something I didn't know about him till I read in a book
this past week:

Schieffer is the older brother of Tom Schieffer, a friend and former business partner of President George W. Bush, who was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Australia 2001-2005 by President Bush and also served as U.S. Ambassador to Japan from April 2005 through January 2009. On March 2, 2009 Tom Schieffer announced he was forming an exploratory committee that will allow him to seek the Democratic nomination for Governor of Texas.

7. Was Sheiffer the old guy who moderated the 3rd prez debate in 08?
I remember him asking a question about "climate control" instead of "climate change." All I could think of was that he was thinking about his Cadillac Escalade's air conditioning system...
