"Socialist" "Liberal" "Leftist"???
That is what the "no-nothings" call President Obama.

My take is Obama is not Liberal or Socialist enough.
Not enough of a populist.
Not enough of a people's President.

He is in my opinion much more a centrist Corporatist with right leaning tendencies.
He is an actor who can only do so much given the big money that controls this world.

Kucinich was laughed at but I thought he would have made a much more everyday person's President.

No matter because the President can only do and say so much before big money JFK's his ass.

Or as "jesushasmyback" puts it:

Obama's being way too centrist and Congressional Dems are mostly bumbling while they pretend the GOP has any "ideas" worth respecting and everyone struggles to avoid acknowledging that banks should be nationalized and even 39% tax on top earners is way too low.

Republicans, meanwhile, need to either take all those guns and shoot themselves in the fucking heads or at least STFU until they can come up with any policy on any issue other than "tax cuts," and as long as the Jesus freaks are running their idiot pageant.

Then everybody needs to agree that the legalization of pot, federal subsidies to promote industrial hemp and single-payer healthcare and are all urgently needed to restructure everything from the economy to the environment. THEN we can start a debate about the amount and type of "socialism" that is appropriate in a modern, mixed economy.
