9. Pretty cool, hey? Lots of the increas is in "capital expenses" like
school rehabilitation, school reconstruction.

Not too much for teachers/etc. But I think we can work with this, fine tune it next year with a billion or two for "student teaching" kind of stuff... like people with Master's degrees in one field, (math, science, etc) getting to be hired 50/50 by school systems with 50% of their salaries paid by the feds, something like that, to bring in very qualified math/science teachers, some of whom will stay for 30 yrs, something like that.

Newt was an easy target. He's such a fool.

Now he is going on and on about Newt.

But he's got a RW nut on there, someone who is labelled by Katrina VanDen as a "lunatic"

20. And this is better than Schuster how?
I've never listened to Ed on the radio so this is really an introduction for me (yes, I've seen him on other MSNBC shows before but not "in charge"). He really comes off as a buffoon, a clown. Is there something I'm missing?

I guess maybe I just want some news. Not the mirror image of right wing talk shows.

27. If you are so in live with David Shuster,
Tell us why we can't have some variety, something different. David filled in for Chris tonight... catch him at 7 PM.

Originality and thoughtful diversity, I like that better.

If only because I get so sick of the same old players every night in a row.

38. Not too bad, but not really very good guests. IMO.....
He should have invited some idiot Republican with national stature on, not some rightie politico that has no respect for listening as an art.

Idiot Republicans are not the best guests to have on one's first show. IMO

Even if everyone does not like his style (and I do), this is exactly what is needed to get the message across to the so-called "ditto-head" types.
