Ha! Here's a fun thought about our financial demise
The more the economy goes into the crapper, the more people will give up luxuries such as cable television subscriptions. The less people have cable, the less people will watch FOX News. The less people watch Fox News, the less it can influence public opinion. The less it influences public opinion, the better off we'll all be.

2. Probably not - the ones most likely to give up cable are liberals (that is, educated)
the ones most likely to hold on to their TV til the bitter end are the ignorant and socially maladjusted, which is to say, the idiots, which is to say, the FOX news watchers.

And so, FOX news watchership (is that a word?) will increase as a percentage of TV watchers.

4. No, not the morans, because they'll have to make a choice between
their source for p0rn (the internet) and cable/satellite teevee. Guess which will win.

6. dammit, valerie!
I just made the argument downthread, that liberals and other smart people will go with the Internet as opposed to teevee!

You're not helping my fantasy future. :hi:

3. That could work the other way.
As people cut back they could just go back to the basic package (cable or satellite). FOX is included in most if not all basic tier 1 packages. MSNBC is premium and will be likely to go when people are trying to cut their bills.

5. Ahh, but us clever liberals and smart people
...will forsake our televisions for the Internet, where it's all moving anyway.

I'm watching MSNBC right now, online, for free. Don't tell. ;)
