I got my Barack Obama prize!

More work for the party and progressive candidates!

Tonight I was elected as Treasurer for my county party. I will be a diligent watcher of party's funds and an enthusiastic fundraiser for the party.

As I said in my acceptance speech tonight, I don't like Republicans, and I like them in office even less. I will work as hard as I did for Barack Obama for the party to ensure there as few of them in office as possible.

Thank you DU, since I joined here you have been an inspiration, a place where I could bitch, and a safe home for me.

Edit for I had drinks bought for me, called my best friend since I was 5 for a drink, and I naturally as an accountant have horrible grammar.

2010 should be an interesting year for you....

According to the by-laws of our party, I'm not allowed to publicly endorse or support anyone during a primary for local or state election unless they are an incumbent or are running unopposed.

That has taken the interesting part out to a great deal till after the primary.


What I do behind the scenes locally is a whole different question.
