I'm guessing if Wanda Sykes was dissing the President, Jonas Goldburg wouldn't have a hissy fit....

I won't even give him the link from NRO - you can read the main part here from Salon:

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/ (right above the clip of Wanda)\

Some conservatives were already grumbling about the dinner by Sunday morning. "I thought Obama was fairly good for most of his talk, though I have my quibbles," Jonah Goldberg wrote on The Corner at National Review Online. "I thought Wanda Sykes had some funny lines, but was generally pretty bad. Yes, I thought the Limbaugh stuff was particularly awful, not just because it was offensive, but because it was unfunny. Biting humor is fine at events like this, so long as it's humorous. Sykes' schtick was a cliche wrapped in a lefty talking point." Don't be surprised if a backlash builds throughout the week.

Why are these assholes defending Rush Limbaugh? If Sykes was that harsh on Obama, these assholes would be celebrating Sykes as their new hero.

3. Personally I love the fact that they defend rushbo
the more he is seen as the defacto leader of the GOP the better the Democrats look to a real centrist. If this crap can continue for another couple of years look to the Northeast to completely desert the pukes, they will really become the party of the old South and nothing more.

I think a schism in the republican party would be fantastic for this country.

5. Everyone is defending Limbaugh-he's the new face of the GOP.
Personally, I like what Robert Reich said about Obama (on This Week yesterday). Paraphrasing, "The man is just nice. He made jokes, laughed it up, but he didn't attack anyone or hurt any feelings. That's just the kind of guy he is." I'm going to keep that in mind rather than even give a poop what the r/w has to say about their 'new face'.

6. Jonathan Capehart
was saying on MSNBC a couple of minutes ago that Obama made fun of himself and people within his administration way more than he made fun of others.

7. I saw that, and he's right. That's a classy man. Sure, he laughed at
Wanda, but so did I.

Obama didn't take any cheap shots and still did fine. What's not to like about that? And no one can criticize him with any legitimacy.
