I sure don't.
Oh, that infamous "So?" people need to use that as the default response every time Cheney expresses an opinion.

And furthermore, if Cheney believes the government should act with no reflection on popular opinion, then why would he try to influence the White House through popular opinion?

I know, mixing logic with false assumptions is silly.
Just trying to point out reason #835 why nobody should take Cheney seriously.

so it's not over yet.

Now that the photo publication has been delayed, I wonder how Lizzie is going to spin it to make her father look good.

I know he's not loved around here, but I take some satisfaction that James Carville will be on too to smack down her lies and smears.

And they need to salvage it. I'm sure that soon we will get Lynn doing the blabbing circuit, but she may be even less popular than Dick is.

...he is hoping to use the court of public opinion to fend off the court of law.

So far, it's debatable whether his actions have helped or hurt his cause. Certainly he's had the media in his pocket, and they are going along with his framing. But the other effect has been to raise a shitstorm about torture, which may end up coming back and splattering all over his smug, sneering face.

We can only hope.

5. Well put! I really wish someone would call him out on the hypocrisy, while he's talking....

I'd like to see his response.
I still regret Edwards's tepid debate performance in 2004, still reallly want him to get dressed down in public.
Wasserman-Schultz did that once with Tom Delay on Hardball when we tried to moralize.
It was sweet.
