3. Torturing Canadians is easy
Put a six pack of Bud in front of them and make them drink it.

Seriously, no I don't believe it just started, I do believe it reached epidemic proportions under chEEney.

6. You mean torture by proxy, or in other words, I`m the devil I only told you what to do, never forced
you to do it.

Yeah lets ignore that for now.

7. The rollback of torture rights started under Big Dog.
...as did the rollback on wiretaps.

I think both went *too far* under shrub, but the mentality of using "extreme measures" to "fight terrorism" dates back to issues faced in the 90's.

Of course, nobody cared back then, because the Clenis was more important.

8. No. I don't think it was a novel thing or just under Bush. Internment....
Comes to mind when I think torture, or cases there of.

9. Of course not.
Bush did not start it and Obama won't end it. You're just not supposed to be so blatant about it. You don't go around trumpeting that you're doing it and that it's good.

10. It's standard practice to joke about what will happen to people imprisoned in America.
They're expected to become somebody's bitch, right?

That means rape. Rape is sexual, physical and psychological torture.

For decades, this has been going on in American prisons. Don't tell me there's no way to put a stop to this institutionalized torture. As other, more civilized nations have demonstrated, it can be done. The social climate is pivotal here.

12. As a Presidential directive to the CIA, probably yes
Some of the things we did to the Native Americans in the 19th century certainly could constitute torture.
