That is the way they believe so it's a very unique situation and I'm not watching but I was feeling the same thing that you just reported on.

but no one is talking about the fact that Obama accepted. Said we disagree with him on abortion/stem cell research... but many other people would not have shown up for that reason. Obama did and that's something we can admire.

It's not on TV here and the feeds are screwing up on me.

And so does willingness to communicate with avowed enemies in spite of differing ideals.

Say what we may in our disappointments, but he's truly a master of diplomatic discourse

Do you think the Vatican is going to change its positions? Until it does, well, discourse doesn't work too well if you ask me.

The Vatican wants a voice in America. So perhaps discourse works for the Vatican. So it can become a voice for chattel law. Women as property of men. And all that entails. And gays and lesbians simply do not exist.

And we cannot have stem cell research. It is a mortal sin. Along with contraception. And of course abortion.

The Vatican of course wants discourse with Obama. Particularly since he might appoint a sixth Roman Catholic to the Supreme Court. A moderate Roman Catholic of course. Moderate until he or she decides to join the other five as they follow their "religious conscience" instead of the guiding principles of the founding fathers as reflected in our Constitution and overturn Roe v Wade.

Is it that respectful discourse doesn't work? Because if it is then I disagree. Respectfully, of course.
