nazi dr. mengele and others loved to experiment on their captives, most notably twins. do one gruesome thing to one, do a different to gruesome thing to the other, and see the difference in survival and so on. google if you're interested in truely gory details.

but hey, if cheney thinks torture is ok because it might, maybe, possibly, conceivably, not-likely-but-can't-take-that-chance, save the lives of thousands, well, hell, why not torture some twins or others the same way? who knows, we might learn something about the human body, human endurance, human survival, and so on, that might be useful in protecting our troops.

why not see just how close how much body armor you REALLY need to survive an exploding grenade or a makeshift roadside bomb? it shouldn't cost too many twins. come to think of it, why even restrict it to twins? why not just round up some poor people and use them regardless?

:sarcasm:

honestly, i really can't believe we have and recently had powerful people in washington seriously advocating and justifying torture. unbelievable. they're not even apologizing for it, no "it's wrong but necessary" -- they actually expect us to accept that it's the right thing to do. the spanish inquisition, the nazis, the kmher rouge, etc., the only thing wrong with them apparently was that they were on the wrong side. nothing wrong about their morals or techniques, as far as the republicans are concerned.

unbelievable.
