Never in my life have I smiled at a cough
Edited on Thu May-21-09 10:33 AM by ChairmanAgnostic
Until now. Darth Cheney is going on and on about how he saved the universe, and he began to cough. A rather deep, unstoppable cough.

And I smiled.

Is that wrong of me?

will be used for "good." That pacing device in his chest must be running on sheer "satanic" power.

If he'd been around in the 70's, I know Lucas would have used him as inspiration for Palpatine.

36. I am kind of pulling for him to expire in jail
The end of Cheney comes while he is alone, in a locked, cold, concrete cell, in an undisclosed location under Leavenworth, Kansas.

17. I keep wondering what is going to happen to DU when Cheney croaks.
Edited on Thu May-21-09 12:13 PM by Arugula Latte
Normally, when a prominent rightwing evildoer dies, we have the traditional "Death Flame War" where people divide into the "don't speak badly about the dead" and the "good, I'm glad the MFer is gone" camps. I can't imagine we'd have too many in the former camp when Dick bites it. I mean, who will mourn Charles Manson? Cheney was responsible for tens of thousands more deaths and maimings than Manson was.

I promise I won't sing "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye" loud enough to bother the other tables.

Wasn't it the advise to stay home if you are coughing or have other symptoms? Go back into your hole and stop spreading your contagion.

11. let's deal with this analytically
First, he is a swine, although some of the species bovine might object.
Second, he is sick. Sure, it starts with mental illness, but it remains an illness.
Third, his speech flew the coup of logic and rationality.

So, yeah, swine flu it is.

12. So, three, perhaps three and a half sets of coughs?
Towards the end, he rarely looked up. His voice wavered a few times, more towards the end. His make-up was good. It hid his serious pallor.

He would just lay there and not be able to speak or spend any of the money he ripped off with his Halliburton buddies. I want him to wear a diaper and drool. Is that wrong of me?? I don't think you should worry about smiling at his cough. I think I have you beat.

40. the result of anti-clot therapy?
I believe a bleed like that can result from anti-clot therapy in people with ischemic heart disease.

I'll bet a superior diagnostician could tell us a lot just by looking at that photo.

Many people have noted his pallor, his rosy cheeks, his cough as related to congestive heart failure. Now we have a clue about his treatment.

Multiple subpoenas.

He doesn't show? Jailed for contempt.

He shows and lies? Jailed for perjury.

He shows and tells the truth? Jailed for multiple crimes, but (ooh, am I gonna flamed for this) with some leniency in sentencing if he helped the DoJ convict Shrub and some of their henchmen.

Totally unreal that Cheney sees a future of further torture/enhanced intrrogation . It's even more shocking how he talked in terms as though he still ran the US, his megalomania is stunning.
