Obama trying to ram another U.S. job-sucking trade pact through Congress
Obama wants to get the Panama Trade Promotion Agreement implemented by July 1. Notice that he didn't put 1/1000 of the effort to support EFCA. Details and analysis at http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/5/20/733569/-An-agreement-that-isnt-good-for-anyone:-The-Panama-Trade-Promotion-Agreement">this Daily Kos piece.

2. What tremendous effort has Obama personally invested in this?
Since it's a thousand times more than he did for EFCA... I'm curious.

22. from the link on post 11. sorry.
Fight for Fair Trade:

Obama will fight for a trade policy that opens up foreign markets to support good American jobs. He will use trade agreements to spread improved labor and environmental standards around the world and stand firm against agreements like the Central Amercan Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) that fail to live up to those important standards.

25. And you know this how? Because the Obama administration is just getting revved up.
Almost every day, there's something: the credit-card bill, the call to overhaul regulation of derivatives, the deal on auto emissions. In normal times, any one of these (especially that last one, which Congress had failed to pull off for 30 years) would have been thought a huge deal. But in the present context, they're only the appetizers. Democrats in Washington expect by September we'll have a health-care bill and that climate-change legislation will be accomplished by November. The deals are being cut on the Hill right now. And there will be plenty of attention being paid.

9. as is common for you, you're wrong.
I know you pant to attack Obama at every turn, but you really should stop embarassing yourself. I mean, I love, love love that you make a fool of yourself so often, but you might consider that you've turned yourself into a bad joke.

I look up Kos, and find it's the trade negotiator Ron Kirk who is supposedly trying 'ram through' the Panama trade pact. Then I read the linked story, and find Kirk 'declined to give any specific time frame for clearing any of the agreement'. There were a number of contentious labor issues to be resolved with congress.

Knee Jerk BS from a hater.
