Does anyone besides me watch the Newshour with Jim Lehrer?
I decided to give PBS a try when I decided I needed a break from Rachel. (On at the same time)

I really, really like it.
There are actual discussions about the news of the day. It's not cute. It's not soundbytes.
No bouncing Piggos.

Just being curious if I am a lonely PBS viewer....

15. Yeah, she's not allowed to marry her life mate
So she's no Mrs, not while the bigots are holding sway.

16. Actually, she lives in Massachusetts,
and I believe she IS married. That still would not make her MRS. Maddow......

3. It's on here during tweety's second hour, so it's usually on.
I can't take tweety twice. And yes, it can be very good.

5. Watched it when it was McNeil Lehrer... but not any more..
Now it's nothing but a Corporate wolf in a Public Broadcast sheepskin. Insidious.

10. I do that too. The BBC and PBS.
Much better - I actually get to hear some news instead of the same story over and over and over and over.

12. I usually watch it...
I like the fact that it chooses a few stories and does depth rather than 30 seconds on a whole lot of topics. A few years ago I got my fundie Bush-loving sister to start watching -- I told her it wasn't sexy, just the news. She still watches it.

14. It's been my primary TV news for 25 years -
I left Network News (CBS and NBC) when Cronkite and Brinkley retired. No one since has been worth a damn.
