GW Bush was such a standup guy.

He was always on duty in the White House during ALL the crises of the last 8 years. He was never on vacation when we needed our fearless leader. He NEVER was out of the loop during either War, or before/during/after Katrina. He was always minutely aware of what it would look like to his fellow Americans if he were to be on vacation, or take Laura on a date during a time when Americans were troubled in any way.

He was thoughtful that way. So very sensitive to what the average Joe was going thru he always thought of others first before himself.

I am so grateful that the main stream media remembers it like me.

3. Was watching CNN at my sister's earlier.

They deemed it 'a mistake' and insensitive to the GM workers. Of course, I have so little respect for CNN as a news source, wasn't sure who's side they were supposedly representing. But they were quite serious that it was just wrong that he would choose to take her on a date. And of course, how this would play out in the 2010 election cycle.

Yeesh.

6. Thanks. I avoided any news today. They're just wrong, and

too lazy to formulate an opinion instead of repeating gop talking points. Hard to believe people are that dumb.

As you said, all you have to do is look backwards, not very far.

7. The anchor guy ALMOST did...

he was black and he almost did the right thing as he mentioned in a remote sort of way that it was somewhat similar to a Bush vacation choice. But he didn't elaborate. Too bad.

What the heck happened to CNN. It used to be viable.
