It is past time for the WH and Senators and Reps to LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.

And the demonstrators shouted down Patty Murray!!.....chants of "Single payer, single payer!"

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/health/2009282093_healthmarch31m.html

...........The demonstrators shouted down Murray as she concluded her pro-health-coverage remarks at Pratt Park in Central Seattle, where the march began.

"I am heading back to Washington," Murray started, and was drowned out by chants of "Single payer, single payer!"

Protesters said they were disappointed that Murray hasn't said anything in support of the single-payer option.

"Did you see Patty Murray shouted down?" asked Stuart Ferguson, a Democratic precinct committee chairman for the 46th District. "I hope she took notice. The more people that do it, the more successful we'll be."

Ferguson said he voted for President Obama, but he's disappointed the administration has invited insurance companies to the negotiating table.

He and many other protesters said they fear the administration's efforts at change won't go far enough.

But when they chanted for Obama to pay attention to their concerns, the crowd did it in Spanish, not English. The chant, "Obama, escucha, estamos en la lucha," means, "Obama, listen, we are in the fight.".................

2. I hope she and other Senators get the message of how UNdemocratic
this so called "reform" has been.

I generally do not favor shouting down folks either but this UN-Listening tour by the Democrats has been going on for months and it past time for some real activists to speak up and they did.

4. Shout them down every chance we get, AND as LOUD as we can get!
The people of this country want better healthcare alternatives, especially single-payer healthcare. Congress ignores us at their peril!

for-profit healthcare = parasites:kick:

3. Patty's had some disappointing (i.e. corporatists over people) votes in recent years
So I sincerely hope she got the message. And passed it on to Maria Cantwell. Of course Maria was specifically targeted by the current MoveOn.org radio campaign, so she's been hearing from us anyway.

5. If loud protesters = THE PEOPLE, then "the WH and Senators" should "LISTEN TO" teabaggers, too.

6. When nobody listens to you, you have to turn up the volume.
If that don't work, take to the streets.

Power has never been given up gracefully.

9. Maybe if the teabaggers had any kind of focus or issue, they might have been listened to.
They weren't protesting anything in particular. It was just sour grapes plain and simple. They're upset because Obama won the election. That's their whole issue. Not worth listening to.

10. Exactly. Though many of them were protesting higher taxes
not even being aware that they'd just received a tax cut - they kind of discredited themselves.

11. Well, Glenn Beck was right when he told them taxes would go up
He just forgot to mention that it wouldn't be any of their taxes, just his because FAUX pays him far too much to spew his idiocy.
