Sadly, this is not suprising, considering this is a repeat of history when in the years leading up to the Civil War, there was also the violence that was associated with the efforts to end slavery.

It was a dark day for George Tiller.
The pro-life movement isn't damaged by his death.

It was the actions of the aboritonist Tiller that ultimately led to his death.

Whoever killed this doctor did the wrong thing here. We are supposed to let God judge him.

On the other hand... I am wondering what kind of person thinks it is OK to kill late-term babies and still go to church?

It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

To think that Doctor Tiller spent his short time here on earth as a paid assassin and now faces eternity having never come to Christ. What a horrible, horrible waste.

I guess when God told us to seek Him while He may be found He wasn't joking.

An extremely liberal ELCA church. Do not think that all Lutheran churches would have an active, impenitent abortionist as a member in good standing. This Lutheran pastor (LCMS) would not.

This will go down as a very dark day in the pro life fight. All of us will be painted as the murderers they really are.
On the positive side Tiller now really knows, without question, whether God considers abortion murder or not. At least for him the question has been answered.

Most of the pro-lifers who are consistent are found on the left side of the spectrum. Martin Sheen, Sr. Helen Prejean, Nat Hentoff, Bob Casey (junior and senior), the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, all were anathema to the religious right despite their opposition to abortion.
