Levi Johnston says there's very little chance he'll reunite with Bristol Palin, 18, the mother of his infant son.

"That's just not even in my mind," Mr. Johnston, 19, says in the July issue of GQ magazine.

Mr. Johnston says Todd Palin, husband of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, offered to buy Miss Palin a new car if she would dump him.

"I know that her parents didn't want us together. I really don't think they did. So they probably put a little pressure on her," Mr. Johnston says, "but at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant."

However, Mr. Johnston recounts how his visits to the Palin home grew awkward after son Tripp was born in December. The visits made him "pretty uncomfortable," he says.

"Just going over there, and Todd and Sarah sitting there staring at me, doesn't do it for me," Mr. Johnston says. "Todd never says anything, really. Sarah, I don't know.

"She's a politician. She knows how to throw in a fake smile and look happy. They're pretty good at that."

Mr. Johnston says his relationship with the Palins began to sour after the governor lost her bid to become the nation's first female vice president.

I still have this feeling that if Sarah gets nominated there's going to be a very special Lifetime movie moment where Levi and Bristol reunite on stage and resolve to work through their differences all for the benefit of Tripp.
