Obama saddened by Holocaust shooting - WH receiving regular updates from FBI, Homeland Security
Obama saddened by Holocaust shooting

WASHINGTON — The White House says President Barack Obama was saddened by a shooting at the Holocaust museum near the White House and is concerned about a guard who was reportedly injured.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said he told Obama about the shooting on Wednesday afternoon. Gibbs later told reporters that he gave Obama the facts as they were known at the time, shortly after shots were fired.

Gibbs says White House officials are receiving regular updates from the FBI, the Homeland Security Council and the White House Situation Room.

Police say a gunman exchanged fire with security guards inside the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

1. But will he do anything about the terror networks so active here in the US? For his own
survival, he needs to start taking reich-wing terrorism seriously.

2. What else can they really do that they aren't all ready doing?
Go back to Bush policies that violate civil rights in order to keep us safe?

I don't think we really WANT them to go any further. The DHS has all ready alerted all law enforcement officials to be especially leary of these types.

3. Are you advocating warrantless wiretapping of "supposed" or "possible" suspects? n/t

6. Oh heavens no. Get the god-damned warrants and bug all of them. Do it by the book, but do it.
The basis has to be at least as valid as some snitch phoning in an anonymous tip about some guy growing dope in his attic.

5. I would love it if someone from this administration comes out and says this is why that DHS report
was written.
