Gave a fantastic and comprehensive speech on health care reform to AMA -- and yes, he did champion public option :-)

38. President Obama
also gave a speech in which he promised to be a fierce advocate for gay people and to fight tirelessly to overturn DOMA.

He gives wonderful speeches - -that I'll grant you. But I was looking for a leader, not a public speaker.

7. He makes it impossible for his opponents to pillory him

He frames the debate and they must respond to his points.

We are not going to get everything we want, but he is going to maximize our interests.

His 'reluctant' support of the public option is much more effective than had he banged the drum from the beginnig.

19. The good news on that?? I absolutely had to take off some weight.
I really did, so baked chicken with tomatoes and cucumbers. Broccoli drizzled with a little dressing at lunch. I was hungry the first few days, but after I looked at the scale..voila! Broccoli, even without the cheese, its pretty tasty. I lost eleven pounds in eleven days. I'm at a standstill right now but am sticking to it.

is three days younger than POTUS. When the CIC of your country is the same age as your eldest kid, you know your best days are behind you. If I sat next to him I might head into that "mommy" thing or something. Now Joe? That's a whole 'nother matter....LOL.

12. Glen Beck said that Obama is smarter than Thomas Jefferson...
.... he said that quoting someone else (who I think may have been Karl Rove, but he wouldn't name names.)

Now, I dont know how you determine exactly how smart Jefferson was, and of course Beck had to qualify it by saying "He's smarter than Jefferson, but he's doing all the wrong things..."

But he said it ...... it was perhaps the most rational thing Beck has ever said.

He was merely unscrupulous. I don't recall his ever demonstrating any political brilliance.

During his time as Bush's bag man, he never had to row upstream as President Obama does.

his life in prison where he belongs....but he was a brilliant politican. He was able to turn a idiot son into the two time president of the US. He had to cheat to do it, but he still accomplished it. He is also still out of jail....that in itself is brilliant.
