2. this pic says a lot

5.38pm:
Reader Morteza sends this picture he took in Isfahan yesterday of supporters of Mir Hossein Mousavi in Naghsh Jahan square

http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/blog/2009/jun/18/iran-unrest

provided it's not a fake, the interesting part is that it comes from Isfahan, not Tehran. Isfahan is normally a conservative city. So it would mean a nationwide protest.

same square, another angle

The problem is that the huffington post blog guy and the guardian blog guys and the nytimes blog guy have only been following the story since fairly recently...so they don't know which photos are old and which aren't.

5. It doesn't matter really
because if the pro Mousavi people were that many in Isfahan before the election, they didn't completely disappear afterwards, even if take more guts to demonstrate and being shot at. Anyway it shows that a massive Amadhinejad vote even outside Tehran isn't given.

6. Its not fake BBC showed huge demonstrations in Isfahan and Shariz yesterday

This is a major development as it means that they will not be able to concentrate security forces

7. They are courageous and empowered
to fight for their democracy.

I heard on Rachel's show last night that the penalty
for demonstrating against the government was execution!

These are BRAVE people!!

8. Did Obama's Cairo Speech Have Any Impact On Lebanon/Iran Elections?
I mean Obama sure did not look like the Great Satan during those speeches. Well, at least not to muslims in the middle east. Fox news viewers may feel as threatened as Islamic extremists who thrive on discord and xenophobia.
