A triple salchow with a double lutz perhaps?

Biden boosts Dem fundraising
By CAROL E. LEE | 06/18/09 6:36 PM

President Obama is known for his athletic agility on the basketball court, and his lack of skills in a bowling alley – but Joe Biden might be the first to link his boss to figure skating.

“The great thing about the president is, he does things so well when he does them, I kid him, it's like an ice skater,” Biden said Thursday. “Don't you ever watch figure skaters in the Olympics and say, ‘God, that's looks -- that's okay, that looks easy? The really good ones make it look easy.”

VPOTUS’s remarks kicked off the Obama administration’s DCCC and DSCC fundraising tour. He headlined a lunch that cost as much as $5,000 a person, where he spoke for almost a half hour.

“I think it's fair to say that – as I repeat it again, no administration, no Congress in a long, long, long time has moved as fast to deal with so many monumental challenges facing our country as this Congress has moved on,” Biden told the 187 Democratic donors at the event. “We've only been in the job about six months now, and as the president said, even our critics agree, we've been pretty busy.”

And the challenges facing the White House, as Biden put it, flow uphill.

“Folks, I don’t think any Speaker has had as much laid on her plate at the front end of a Congress -- maybe there's been a time in history, but I don't -- I can't think of -- for real, for real,” Biden said of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was there along with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“It's not hyperbole, literally. This president has had more laid on his plate than any president in modern history from the day he stepped into office. But that just flows not downhill; it flows up the hill.”

Biden called the administration’s work on the economy an “all-out assault on the problem.” And he reiterated the White House’s promise to “save or create” 600,000 jobs in the next few months.

11. Salchow
It's spelled that way because the salchow jump is named after the early 20th century Swedish skater Ulrich Salchow who invented it. Here in North America everybody pronounces it "sowcow". Skaters and fans will also refer to it as a sal or sow.

He must have been pretty impressed with the Kween (a fan nickname for Kwan),it got the VP thinking in skating terms.

13. That would be triple salchow, half loop, double lutz.
The lutz does not take off on the same foot as the salchow lands.

The smooth combo would be triple salchow, double loop or double toe.

.... considering he is physically INCAPABLE of speaking in anything BUT hyperbole.

He's the ONLY person I'll forgive for using too much hyperbole .... 'cause he's hot.

And because his hyperbole is stated with his classic "my word as Biden" qualifer, so it doesn't count. ;)
