Please help DU my Rep's healthcare survey
Thanks. You'll have to go to the link below. If you want to use a local address, PM me and I can give you a pseudo local one. This is Chris Murphy from CT, a Democrat.

Do you currently have health care coverage?
Yes
No

If you have health care coverage, how satisfied are you with it?
I am fully satisfied with my coverage.
I am somewhat satisfied with my coverage.
I am somewhat unsatisfied with my coverage.
I am totally unsatisfied with my coverage.
Other

If you answered that you are unsatisfied with your current health care coverage, what makes it unsatisfactory?
Premiums and deductibles are too high.
I can’t see the doctor of my choice.
Health insurance company is hard to deal with.
Other

In the list of what stresses your family or business’ budget, where do health care costs rank?
The top of the list.
Somewhere in the middle.
It’s not a concern for me, or my family, or my business.
Other

A component of my vision for reform that lowers costs and creates choice is the creation of a public health insurance option. This option would compete with private insurance plans to lower cost and would have access to an immediate network of doctors in Connecticut and across the country so that it can offer a complete and comprehensive insurance plan from its outset. Are you in favor of this type of public health insurance option?
Yes, I support this concept.
I don’t know, but I want to learn more about this concept.
No, I do not support this concept.
Other

Health care reform may include a mandate on individuals to buy health insurance, with assistance to pay for it; or a requirement on businesses of a certain size to provide coverage for their employees, with incentives for doing so; or a shared responsibility between individuals and businesses to be covered, with incentives for doing so. Which of these options do you prefer?
A mandate on individuals to buy health insurance, with assistance to pay for it.
A requirement on businesses of a certain size to provide coverage for their employees, with incentives for doing so.
A shared responsibility between individuals and businesses to be covered, with incentives for doing so.
I don't know.
I am opposed to all of the above.

1. We're on Medicare at our house
It is government-sponsored health care and has been working quite well for 40 years. There's no place in the survey to check if on Medicare, so don't think my responses will help much. With Medicare, private companies are obliged by gov't to offer Medicare supplement insurance to all, with all providers required to bid on the same supplement policies.

5. Are you able to afford the part B supplement and the drug
coverage part? I cannot afford either on my SS check, hope I don't get sick The 20% copay for part B plus the total drug costs will be crippling. Can't stretch the dollar any tighter.
