I think President Obama has been pitch perfect dealing with the situation in Iran. But I predicted that as facts on the ground, evolve, so to will his rhetoric. Over the weekend he spoke of the Arc of Justice, and that the world was watching. Today, he will go one step further:

Obama will condemn Iran abuses

Tue, 06/23/2009 - 9:38am

President Barack Obama will condemn Iranian government use of violence against peaceful protesters and other human rights abuses at a 12:30pm news conference, sources in touch with the administration say. The president's planned news conference was moved from the Rose Garden to the James Brady briefing room.

The Iranian regime is trying to pin the uprising on the Great Satan, but thankfully, President Obama has refused to play ball with them (and listen to the feckless neoconservatives). With each stage of the events in Iran, Obama has played "chess" while Ahmadinejad only knows how to play checkers. And note, President Obama has refused to choose sides in the election dispute, and continues not to do so today. Very smart. Remember, that as John Kerry said, this is an "Iranian Moment", not an "American Moment".
