Why did a former Olympic ice skater stay at the White House?

Bush releases White House, Camp David guest lists

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former President George W. Bush's overnight guests shortly before he left office included Republican Sen. Judd Gregg, who spent the night at the Camp David presidential retreat just a few weeks before President Barack Obama asked him to serve in his Cabinet, guest lists released Monday show.

.....The most famous names include pro golfer Ben Crenshaw, who spent the night at the White House and Camp David, and Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill, who stayed at the White House.

I don't get why Breitbart is bringing this up. I trust nothing from that man, nothing. Dorothy, if I recall, did give a speech at the '04 RNC-- I believe with Lynn Swann.

I remember feeling so disappointed.

Former figure skating legend Dorothy Hamill and former football great Lynn Swann were on hand for an Olympic tribute. The two also stressed the importance President Bush places on physical fitness.


It was a nice thank you maybe? I could see that, strange at it is. Bush was big on physical fitness (when he wasn't falling off his bike... :rofl: )

Hamill was an Ice Capades headliner from 1977-1984; she bought the financially-strapped company in 1993 but sold it to Pat Robertson's International Family Entertainment, Inc. soon after.

So both she and Peggy Fleming have had breast cancer. Hopefully, she will survive and thrive just as Ms. Fleming has.

I posted a pic of Tonya Harding to point out the resemblance to Liz Cheney.
