What does Alito have to do with Sotomayor

I'm watching the confirmation hearing. And I want to hit Senator Hatch. :wtf: I don't get a freakin' clue what Alito has to do with Sotomayor.

This guy just gave a 20 minute + advert against Obama as Presidency, rather than actually dealing with Sotomayor. Everything is twisting the words or just lying straight out against Obama in regards to his support for Sotomayor. This guy is a jackass and obviously should not be allowed to be on this committee.

Oh my god and what is up with Sessions...Oh lordy. That man said everything derogatory and combative with a smile and sneer. I am shocked...It was like he was relishing is chance to attack her beyond belief.

Edit: What was up with the protestor?

1. During his hearings, Alito made comments that his background

as the son of immigrants affected his views. Basically the same thing as Sotomayor has said.

So, people are pointing out the hypocrisy that it was okay for Alito but not for her.

3. I watched some today. The republicans were vicious. It is going to be a long

dirty week. By the end of the week the republicans will be screaming personal and racial insults. It looks like none of them will vote for Sotomayor.

Ms. Sotomayor will come out of this unscathed and will be sitting on the bench next session.

The Repugs will also lose other minority groups who know that one day some qualified candidate from their group will be nominated and attacked by the Repugs.
