Biden heads to Cantor-ville
@ 9:39 am by Jeremy P. Jacobs

If there was any doubt during the campaign that Vice President Joe Biden is President Obama's attack dog, Biden's schedule since coming into office should wipe it away.

The latest example will come on Thursday when Biden will swing by House Minority Whip Eric Cantor's (R-Va.) district to discuss Obama's economic stimulus package and the impact it's having on the area.

From the White House guidance email:

…the Vice President will travel to Richmond, VA where he will highlight the progress of the Recovery Act at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

Cantor, you'll recall, has been the leading voice among congressional Republicans in criticizing the economic stimulus. He delivered his most forceful criticism last Saturday in the Republican radio address in which he said the stimulus has failed and Obama has broken his promise to fix the economy.

This isn't the first time Biden has shown up in enemy territory to talk about the stimulus. Earlier this month, Biden held an event on the stimulus just south of House Minority Leader John Boehner's (R-Ohio) district.

1. I hate stories like this
There is no such thing as "enemy territory" for the VP, President and other government officials. Biden is the US VP. That means the entire country. Crap like this just pits more us vs. them material.

4. Good point and indictive of what
reporters do in an attempt to make their stories more interesting.

Whereas,if they investigated more..who knows what they'd come up with for interest.
