I miss? I know I watched the entire presser, but he must have watched a different one than I did. He keeps saying that Obama didn't give the details he expected? What did Chris want to hear? More price tags? That's what I'm thinking all these bitching about this are wondering: will their taxes go up? This thing is still in the works and the details are finished.

I still don't get what Chris wants:shrug:

2. Tweety thinks the President didn't coddle the public enough and Ed thinks.....
Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 10:25 PM by Clio the Leo
.... that the President wasn't mean enough to the blue dogs.

Those are mutually exclusive things, they cant BOTH be right but they CAN both be WRONG.

3. agreed...
I bet the average American watching the presser were satisfied.

Obama didn't need to go all wonky like HRC sometimes did back in '93...

4. Tweety can't stand a black person who says that anything is racist.

6. You have two doors. One is "he was too professorial" and the other is "he was too vague"
If Obama got really wonkish about certain aspects of the complexity of health care, You The Magical Pundit can say he "was too complicated", "wasn't talking to the common man" or "confused everyone".

If Obama didn't go into the details like a physician describing a prognosis, You The Magical Pundit can say he "left out a lot", "wasn't saying anything" or perhaps the oldie-but-goodie "he thinks we're stupid"...

You The Magical Pundit can play either side at any given time. It's just so much fun!

7. Oh...
He also said that the Cambridge Police acted stupidly for their behavior with Gates with the whole "big black man who came to rape the entire neighborhood" incident.

8. Obama was the dignified educator people voted for, explaining the deficit issue GOP has been
hammering us on very well. He was refuting the bad arguments the media has been spinning. He strongly mentioned what he was left with as a beginning challenge.

9. Fineman kept claiming that Obama did not tell stories of real people struggling with Healthcare?
He asked (paraphrasing) "Why didn't Obama talk about any of the letters he gets and put a human face on the issue?"

It was so bizarre because Obama told several stories that broke my heart.

Was Fineman asleep or something?

10. No, he was probably busy writing his story according to his preconceived ideas.
He didn't hear what he didn't WANT to hear. It didn't fit his narrative, so it is like it didn't happen.

Fineman and his ilk have been in Washington too long...
