Folks,
There is nothing the President could do or say to get true reform. NOTHING!!
Corporate money is too entrenched in congress and the media for that to happen. While this effort is seemingly closer than we have ever had, in reality it was no closer than the last time; it's all an illusion. We must all come to terms that the democrats are really no different than the republicans. We can call and email our officials all day, guess what: THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!! All of them have no term limits, sit in cushy offices, having cocktails every other day, raking in the dough and we stupidly put them in office every time.
Here is the funny part: We put them there to make money for themselves and their cronies under the illusion of helping us
And we fall for it every time.
Corporatism is too strong in this country for true healthcare reform to pass easily. In the end we may have a bill but it will simply give us the illusion of reform with more poison pills that will keep the establishment more than happy. It's quite evident that lobbying will never stop. The money is too enticing to pass up, they know it and use to their advantage every time.
We can NO longer rely on our elected officials to do right for the people; this should be crystal clear. The only way to "survive" in a system like this is to try and game it as best you can. Become Machiavellian, get smarter, use the loopholes when available, it is the only way the average person is going to make it in the future. This is the society that has been bred and you will be crushed under the sheer weight of it if you don't adapt.
