Wouldn't it be funny if.....
Congress goes on it's "Vacation"

1 week later, with 14,000 people a day (week?) losing their insurance, how many people a day dying because of no insurance, no health care.

Obama declares a 'national health emergency' and signs an executive order that basically changes health care 'his way' (Single Payer, Medicare for All)
that is in effect until the Congress passes an acceptable bill for his signature..

Go ahead congress critters... pass something half-assed and weak.... watch what happens

1. or files an order
that cancels THEIR health insurance.
Congress gets no insurance until America gets insurance.

3. But in the interim if the people LIKE it then the next Prez would find it difficult to take away nt

The people will be out with their pitchforks. Imagine trying to take away medicare (or is it medicaid) for the old. Repubz would even dare try. Its the same thing here. If Obama enacts the order now then it stays in affect and if the next prez comes along and tries some funny business (assuming the people loved it) this could be civil war.

4. I don't think a single Republican against it would think twice about reversing
an executive order. I'm sure Bush would love to do it just because he could.

5. I've wondered about the attempted delay.

Won't more delay just mean more people unemployed, and a deeper emergency which will speed passage of a more extensive bill?

Do they really think we'll forget about health care?
