Two Georgia Officers Accused Of Running Criminal Check On Obama
DECATUR, Ga. — Authorities are investigating two Atlanta-area police officers accused of using government computers to run a criminal background check on President Barack Obama.

William Miller, public safety director for DeKalb County, said Wednesday that the officers have been put on leave until an investigation is finished. The officers' names were not released.

Miller says the police department was notified by the U.S. Secret Service that DeKalb County computers were used to run a check on Obama. He did not say what the officers' motive may have been.

2. what the FUCK is wrong with our country?? I KNEW we had a lot of assholes
just based on the 2004 election and how people could defend Bush with a straight face. But this is really showing it isn't going away. We have a bunch of undereducated, racist, close minded fools living amongst us.

We're tired of getting the side-eye when we complain.

I knew this kind of stuff was going to start falling out of the bag as soon as Obama got elected.

White people who aren't racist just don't see all the shit that biased whites do.

That's what's so frustrating. There's a natural tendency to think, "I'm not racist so racism is a thing of the past".

You're going to see much more than you ever wanted to see, I guarantee it.

6. Big trouble for those caught doing it.
Usually means loss of job, legal bills, courts, criminal indictments...

One cannot use police computers willy-nilly to advance a personal agenda.

7. I suspect it goes on all the time, it's just that these guys got caught.
My guess is the same thing goes on any place where people have access to information and time on their hands. It's a variation of the old small town problem with the doctor's receptionist who knew everyone's diagnosis.

10. Yes it was - and I work with the Sheriff's sister
she's a good friend of mine.

That murder pretty much destroyed that family.

They buried their mom just a couple months ago.....
