Whew... am I ever glad I voted for President Obama.

Not a day.

He is able to keep such a cool head, when everyone else is melting into a pot of "oh noes" in the middle of the road.

EDIT: You can add your favorite talking head controversy anywhere in there. They change week to week.

8. or people who are NOT as blind as a bat...
and like my father always said to me-

"there are none so blind as those who will not see".

10. if he gets health care reform done, it will be checkmate on your dumb observation
that there is no "change" afoot. Just the fact that we're now talking acceleration of troop draw down in Iraq to August 2010 is proof that he is bringing all the kinds of change we voted for.

As you said though....you're blind to that because you refuse to see.

obama's 'change' is in bringing them home via afghanistan.

the drawdown in iraq was not obama's plan.

the build up in afghanistan is.

i doubt kenedey or johnson ever thought we'd end up sending as many troops to vietnam as we did, either.

6. Hard for change to happen when the same players keep playing
the same ol' same ol'.

the media is doing what they did in 1993 for us in reference to health care.
In fact, it's worse.....considering the 24/7 mediawhores all lying in wait,
waiting to jump on whatever the GOP talking points are for the day. :eyes:

7. Good post.....
President Obama is a very bright man, very well spoken even when he is winging it without a speech writer. He also strikes me as a strong man and determined. I think that he will keep pushing for the things he deems to be important. He is a man of strong beliefs, which I admire even though I don't always agree with him.

I also think he is effective. You can tell that he is effective by the viciousness with which the conservatives are attacking him. They must feel desperate to let their savage racism toward him out into the open the way they have been doing. Isn't that the last resort of small minds? Try to make your opponent look inferior? The only effect it will have is to make them and those of like mind look like the inept, insane losers that they are.

16. Do you get a little burst of joy.........
.... every time you hear "President Obama" on the radio. I dont know it's different than on the television, but I"m just bee bopping along at work and suddenly I'll hear "President Obama said today...." on the news brief of the moment.

And I never fail to smile. :)
