"President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, senior officials and Cabinet members were gathering away from the White House this weekend to discuss administration progress at the six-month mark and plot a course ahead.

The meetings were scheduled for Blair House, the government guest property across from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Obama and Biden walked over together on Friday evening, chatting as they went, to join their colleagues for dinner. Obama returned to the White House about four hours later, again strolling across the avenue with his press secretary, Robert Gibbs.

Asked how the meeting went, Obama said: "It went fine."

Several hours of meetings were scheduled for Saturday, though Obama was not expected to attend. The president was departing Saturday morning for a weekend at Camp David. Biden was to deliver remarks to open the second day of meetings."

I like this very much. Reflection on goals met, mistakes, things that still need to be done is very important for a young administration moving forward.

3. I liked the guy who played Biden after the VP debates. I forgot his name and am too lazy

to look it up. It would be seriously hilarious and I bet the VP would get a kick out of it.

4. He plays him perfectly. He hits the right likable and charm buttons when playing Biden.

That is the one thing missing from the guy playing Obama. He doesn't smile and, I'm sorry, but you can't capture Obama's charm without the ability to flash a killer smile.

Darrell Hammond playing Bill also hit the right charming rogue button that made it great to watch. I think Amy Poehler is great as Hillary. Tina Fey - love her!

I just don't think they quite have Obama down yet although I do think Fred has gotten better.

6. Yeah Darrell doesn't quite capture the President in style or charisma.
Perhaps it is the smile or Obama's Hawaiian background that is missing.

8. I like the idea of assessment meetings

"OK ladies and gentlemen. Each of you will get your turn to give us all a summary of what you've done for the last six months, what has worked and what hasn't and what we can all do about it"

Sounds like a good way to start a marathon meeting.
