Larry Flynt: Grow a Pair, Obama:

You have failed to keep many campaign promises. You’ve ignored civil-liberty violations such as warrantless wiretapping. You passed a stimulus package that is obviously full of pork for Democrats. You handed over billions more in taxpayer dollars to crooked bankers. You listened to the very people who created our economic meltdown, the Mutt and Jeff team of Larry Summers and Tim Geithner. You’ve let the insurance lobbyists hijack health-care reform to the detriment of every man, woman, and child in America.

Dear Larry,

The facts: change at a glance, and six months.

The naysayers were certain Obama wouldn't get his stimulus package (he did), and that it would have no effect (it has).

Obama's Presidency has already made history, and his budget and health care reform will seal it as one of the most progressive and successful in history.

People may not care for Obama's style, but it has served him well thus far, and he'll make reform this country and make history, despite them.

So many times, BS pronouncements like Larry's overshadow the fact that Obama is making great progress on a numerous issues: A Faster Iraq Withdrawal

1. Yup, people want their pet issues magically fixed by Obama in months

The truth is that these things take time. Longterm we'll look at health care though. Lets see what he ends up signing.

5. Funny thing is, it's much easier to write a snarky column from afar...

but much more difficult to herd the various cats in DC, that make up the Democratic Party. I'm amazed at the number of people on the left, who just don't get it. Rather than taking potshots at the president, a column denouncing the Dems who stand in the way of true reform, would have been much more constructive.

Recommended.

9. Oh, one other thing. About Larry Flint.

I'm forever grateful, as all lovers of the Constitution should be, for the effort and pain he put into protecting his, and our free speech. However he is a smut peddler, and in my book a smut peddler is by definition a sexist. Porn denigrates woman.

So, personally, I'm not into the idea of cozying up, and making a political ally out of Flint. He gives me the slithering creeps.
