White House says no to tax hike for middle class
"WASHINGTON – In a rebuke to the Treasury secretary, the White House said Monday that President Barack Obama remains opposed to any tax hike for families earning up to $250,000."

Just to clear up any "confusion." ;)

1. Good.
He has stated there will be no tax increase on the middle class so many times, so forcefully, that it would be a major problem for his credibility if he changed his mind now.

2. I agree...
if he DID raise taxes on those families making less than $250,000, that would be a HUGE mistake. He must've said he WOULDN'T do that a million times.

4. Why did you ask that? He didn't SAY "the middle class." He said "families making $250,000 or less

Edited to correct wrong symbol.

Obama's opinion.

16. He promised not to raise taxes on families making less than $250,000.
He put that specific number out there and he will stick by it. Who cares what he calls them as long as they won't get their taxes raised?

9. That makes me feel much better.
At least I know, now, that I won't be forced to buy health insurance. I can't afford an additional tax of between 1.5% and 12% of my gross income.

Thanks, Mr. President!
