The thing that really gets to me about Obama's birth...
...is that he was born in the 1960's. It is jarring that a president was born in the same decade as I was. x( :P Happy Birthday, Mr. President!

2. Clinton was the first president younger than my parents
Although of the same generation. I was just getting used to that, lol. At least Obama is older than I am, so I can deal. :D

15. Carter is one year younger than my late grandmother
But Amy is my age. She was born much later than her siblings. :-)

16. Thanks for making me feel old, LOL.
Helen Thomas is one of the few "celebrities" older than my parents that is still around - she's a year older than my Mom. I was surprised when they showed her age today - I thought she was younger. But then, my Mom is still as spry as Helen and still has brown hair like Helen, though Helen's is thicker. One of the girls I graduated from high school with has a daughter about Amy Carter's age!

4. Well, I certainly don't have that problem -- I was born a decade and a half earlier.
Hey, why'd we elect such a young whipper-snapper prez, anyway? ;-)

What was that joke that McCain would be yelling at kids to get off the white house lawn? It is so unnerving to look in the mirror in the morning and see my mother looking back - looking like she did in the nursing home.

9. More jarring to have a President younger than you are
by a decade. But I'm very happy to have an ADULT, a THINKING adult, in charge again. The best on your birthday, Mr. President.

10. I imagine that will be one or two presidents from now
At that point, I will be saying "No one my age has any business running the country!" ;-)

11. I'm already saying it.
But I'm so tickled whenever anyone talks about how "young" Obama is...being roughly the same age.

13. Kennedy is forever "young" in our consciousness
But would be 92 if alive today. Puts it in perspective, somewhat.
