2. He had Bush pegged so early on...
If you put Bush's calendar and Obama's side by side, and looked at the first 200 days, oh what a story it would tell!

3. Someone asked yesterday what Bush's first 100 days were like...
This popped up as a very appropriate response. Apparently, he came out against stem cell research 8 years ago this week. I didn't remember that, but remember that he was being dismissed as an irrelevant buffoon. He came back from vacation all geared up for something stupid, possibly No CHild Left Behind, but people mostly ignored him.

5. Under Obama, the dow has gone up ...
under Bush, during the first 200 days, the dow went down ... and that was before the excuse of "9/11" ... but of course, it was the "previous president's" fault ... now, it's the "current president's" fault ...

12. Yes it was -
One such unusually long briefing at the start of his trip is a warning that bin Laden is planning to attack in the US (see August 6, 2001), but Bush spends the rest of that day fishing.

http://www.historycommons.org/timeline.jsp?warning_signs:_specific_cases=complete_911_timeline__strike_in_us__pdb&timeline=complete_911_timeline

Supposedly Bush responded to the briefing by saying " OK, you've covered your ass" and then he blew the CIA people off. I can't find an original source for that quote.
