For those that are worried about polls Obama continues to rebound 56-38

For the third day in a row the President's numbers continue to rebound slightly, despite the media hearalding continuing dropping in polls:

The media continues to miss the point and paint a dramatic drop in popularity when in fact the President continues to:

1) Maintain a very firm level of support with every group except Republicans.

2) Maintains a very significant gap between approval and disapproval.

3) Have very low negative numbers, the one that is more important in real politics than the approval numbers.

More to the point;

1) These polls would only have significance if Obama were running against himself. When you compare it against any Republican the gulf remains huge because the Republican numbers have dropped completely off a cliff.

2) It is also not a national race but 50 state races and as has been repeatedly reported here those numbers have gone all one way:

4. go here
http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx

if you put your cursor on the graph you can see the latest three day average.

The President's numbers actually have had 4 straight days of rebound since hitting the 'low' at 52.
