1. I'm glad.
I may be proven wrong and naive for this, but I believe that Sen. Gillibrand's newfound progressivism is genuine and simply a reflection of no longer having to represent a fairly conservative district. Even if it's not, she's smart enough to realize what she needs to do to represent the State of New York. In any event, while she's not my top choice for the seat, I think she will be a good Senator for a very long time.

but Gillibrand is in trouble because, accordig to CNN Fake Poll New Yorkers gave her a C- (both Schumer and Gilli)

Competition is a good thing. I don't trust Gillibrand for a minute. Anthony Weiner should run, he's been ripping it up in the House and Schumer is his buddy.
