4. Swirling down the toilet.. Eh MSM?
Of course they wont report the uptick. They only report downticks within the margin of error.

5. This constant obsession with polls by the MSM is getting weird.
i dont recall this fanaticism under bush when he constantly had low ratings, it was rarely mentioned. I also seem to recall the GOP saying they did not care about polls, which is laughable considering they dont even move an eyelid these days without polling on it.

10. I don't get it either.
And that whole CNN "Second 100 days" thing was bizarre and pointless.

8. I am not surprised. I thought it would go up again.
I also think that the footage of the crazies at the health care town calls actually could benefit the Dems and the President.

14. I was surprised and genuinely pleased by Cash for Clunkers.
Add that to the modest improvements in job numbers and that must be a pretty happy White House.

12. Catch the Kos/Research 2000 poll on Daily Kos today?
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/8/7/763216/-Weekly-Tracking-Poll:-Mixed-signals

His total approval rating is at 60% this week.

The part I found most interesting was that the decline in poll numbers was broken down, and the vast majority of the decline, trended over weeks, has been among Republicans. Among Democrats and independents, Obama remains popular. And since Obama's approval is down to 12% among the Repubs, there's not much further for him to fall.

So I'd say overall that Obama's doing quite well!

13. REEEEEALLLY now.
Hmm. Perhaps people are deciding they prefer calm, cool, collected Obama to the frothing, rabid, impotent rage of the teabaggers.

18. Susan Page mentioned it tonight on Hardball. They were talking about how this was a very good week
for Obama and today's Gallup poll had him at 58% which backs that up.
