Favorite Right Wing Attack....

Yell and scream nonsense where ever you can as loud as you can and as often as you can.

But make sure you do it first.

Then when the left answers with rational arguments, the media says well, we have heard from both sides.

What this does is legitimize, to those passively watching on TV, all the crazy shit that the right wingers are saying by giving them equal weight in the eyes of the beholder.

And since these fools are being enabled by our wonderful press, that's not difficult.

And good luck to those on the left. They're lucky to get any time being heard.

And of course, calm, rational statements are much less newsworthy or fun to watch than the screamers.

I mean, you have to pay attention. Where's the fun in that?

If you've not read any of George Lakoff's writings, I would commend them to you. He expands on the whole notion of issue framing and how the right wing does this successfully.

His book "Don't Think of an Elephant: Know Your Values and Frame the Debate--The Essential Guide for Progressives" is short, practical, readable and brilliant.
