My Doctor Today:
Edited on Tue Aug-11-09 03:50 PM by dave29
I had a feeling he was on our side... turns out, I was right :)

Some choice quotes when I told him we were having to pay a $4500 deductible until the end of the year, and I "really hope Health Care Reform is passed":

"And these crazy people showing up at the townhalls -- which are funded by big pharma by the way..."

"If it doesn't have a strong public option, it's not reform..."

"and those so called 'Blue Dogs'...."

he eventually stopped himself (short of outright declaring himself an evilDUer) before he got too carried away. I told him I could go on and on as well.

The best news: My blood pressure is no longer high, and I don't need the meds.

I guess Obama has been good for my health :)

1. Between having a President who has some common sense and a sensible doctor, who, clearly, cares
about people if he is for Health Care Reform, no wonder you have lower blood pressure!!!!

2. Good news in both cases. Now we need to pass a great program.

3. I have an appointment for a physical within the hour,
but it's a sure thing I will still be on BP meds since the one I'm taking is not working well. The only reason I am able to go at all is because I was recently approved for BadgerCare Plus here in Wisconsin which is state funded health insurance for people with no children who fit the income levels.
