THE THING the president should expand on:
"Doing nothing will bankrupt us" has been a constant theme from the white house since we started talking about healthcare.
He should spend some time in Montana explaining this further.
Really go into the link between the current healthcare system and the financial cliff we're headed for.

This is THE THING the public needs to hear more about.

1. Agreed..Everything needs to be explanable in Popcorn size amounts
People have short attention spans and they dont seem to grasp at things quickly unless it is coated with sugary delights...so ideally he needs to keep it short and with catchy sound bites such as your "Doing nothing will bankrupt us" alot!

Although it is a public option it maybe can be said to be "medicare for all"?

3. He reflexively avoids sound-bite type answers
Its one of his favorite themes.
He should put it in his pocket for the day.

2. More direct talks to the American people
not less like many in the media publicly cry for. More specific leadership on basic health care reform and set the truth as the concrete spin. FDR had radio and the fireside chat giving him a mass audience. Fractured TV and other pundit framed media diffuse that power. This IS a national emergency. I have seen other countries where the president blew away the opposition with last minute orations and no matter that the other side(justly) squawked.

The Democratic leadership want to produce leaders who believe they should have one arm tied behind their back and not upset anyone about the general escapable misery and give polite deference to what is diametrically opposed to any human value. And it has consistently put all at risk in front of pathetic bullies.

People movements will continue to do the real work and shed the real blood fighting the pathetic minority a small application of basic journalism and basic law enforcement would fold up like a pack of cards.

4. But according to the
Republicans he has quadrupled the debt in just 6 months and we are already bankrupt. Dumping $1 trillion into an endless occupation of Iraq is OK but we can't afford health-care for Americans.
