GONE FISHIN' -- The pool reports from President Obama's fishing excursion in Montana:
"We are holding at an undisclosed (your pooler asked) private residence, not Sun Ranch, in a weather related deviation from plan. POTUS seen headed off to a creek on property with a fishing rod. We are hanging in a hangar strung inside with holiday lights. It resembles a garage, a lotta-car garage, with black plastic trash bags taped over inelegantly over the windows."

A steady flow of people - roughly 30 at any given time - have been waiting along the edge of a cordoned off parking lot for Obama to arrive at the sprawling Big Sky Resort nestled in the Rocky Mountains.

They have their cameras hanging around their necks and video cameras in hand. Parents and grandparents have their children in tow, some so small they're in strollers.

A crowd has been here for hours ago, according to an employee at the resort. They have come and waited, left for dinner and come back. Or are just arriving to stand around a fire that was lit for the evening.

They're pretty plain about their intent. "I'm waiting for Obama," one man said to no one in particular.

Earlier some lucky ones caught a glimpse of the first lady's motorcade.

But now it's about the president. A couple false alarms sent some of them running - full speed - through the Mountain Mall, where a small grocery store has bug spray and an oxygen bar ($10 for 10 minutes). They thought Obama's motorcade might appear on the other side.

A helicopter circling above sent a father and his two daughters sprinting up a hill to try to get a better view.

But... still no Obama.
