Obama approval Update
Latest numbers from Gallup today

Approval 55%(+1)

Disapproval 37%(-2)

Untill Yesterday Gallup had him going down from the 58 Percent last friday.So the town Hall meetings to comment on Health Care may be having an effect.

2. The polls are irrelevent at this time
He needs to finish this thing, polls be damned. The polls will go up later, by the end of this term he will be a national hero if he just does it.

Meanwhile this whole town hall thing is shriveling what is left of the GOP down to the core base. It might excite the sociopaths that make up what is left of the GOP, but it is destroying their party.

3. The Daily Kos weekly poll also has his number holding steady
(link) particularly among independent voters. They have their hardcore base and we have ours, but it's the outer layer of independents, "real" moderates and ex-Bushies that Obama has to hold on to. And he won't if he continues to appear soft on defense.
